Videolinq Video-streaming at USQ

Videostreaming in action at USQ's Wide Bay Campus

Twelve interested local professionals came along to USQ's Wide Bay Campus to watch the video-streamed Videolinq together. "Dealing With Difficult Parents" proved to be a topic which we could all relate to from some stage of our careers, and being able to stop and discuss why it occurs, and how it impacts on us, was a very valuable experience.
**News Flash** - We'll be videostreaming the next Videolinq at USQ on 11th November.

A Fun Morning of Music With Sue Southey

Singing with the rainbow ring
Singing with the rainbow ring - what a fun way to spend a Saturday morning!

We had a brilliant music workshop with Sue Southey, this time taking us through the CD "Crackle and Pop" at USQ, on Saturday 29th August. Early Childhood students joined in with Kindy and Prep teachers, Care Givers and Music teachers to share music and laughs with Sue - what great therapy!! Over 40 people shared in this wonderful Professional Development opportunity, with everyone taking away not only songs and ideas, but useful strategies for managing a group of young children.

Reggio Experience with Dr Maria Lee

Dr Maria Lee presents

We were very fortunate to have an afternoon with Dr Maria Lee, Principal Lecturer & Head of Child Education and Community Services Department, Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, and Chairman of the Child Education Centre for Teaching and Learning. Dr Maria is currently in Australia and took time out at USQ to share her experiences of her visit to Reggio Emilia centres in Italy. After speaking about her visit, she then related it to her experiences in Early Childhood settings in Hong Kong. It was a refreshing and informative afternoon for the many Early Years professionals who attended.
