Playing with numbers gives children, in their environment, opportunities to see numbers, explore counting, work out quantities, know the position of numbers, use numbers for labelling, explore patterns, learn about equality and informally, and confidently add, subtract, multiply and divide. Come and experience this workshop as we investigate ways to create learning environments that immerse children, from Kindy to the formal years of school, in all aspects of numbers to lay a strong foundation for mathematics.
