Music for sharing and caring: making connections and cultivating supportive group dynamics by Kath Lloyd. In this interactive session, Kath will share songs and musical games that aid connection, inclusion, self-regulation, cooperation, confidence-building and the nurturing of cohesive and supportive group dynamics. Learn how to gently guide budding interpersonal skills, build children's emotional resilience, and cultivate kind, caring and respectful environments for optimum learning through expressive play.

Presenter

Kath Lloyd is an Early Childhood Music Specialist, with a particular interest in interpersonal development. She has been a registered KMEIA (Kodály Music Education Institute of Australia) teacher since 2001, up until 2014 running "do re mi - music for children" classes from her home studio in Manly West, Brisbane. Now based in Annerley, Kath also teaches the 'do-re-mi program' at Margaret Cribb Early Learning at UQ. Kath is the coordinator of the Early Childhood Music program at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, teaching there as well as taking the Open Conservatorium ECM program into the Lady Cilento Children's Hospital, South Brisbane. Kath also offers professional development seminars and workshops to peers and childcare centre carers, and mentors graduates. Keen to deepen her understanding of children's cognitive, language, social and emotional development,
