2021 ECTA Early Childhood E-Conference

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE:

ECTA conferences proudly provide practical hands-on workshops for professionals working across all early childhood sectors from FDC, OSHC, LDC, Kindy and Prep to lower primary. The conference has been held annually on the first Saturday of the state school holidays for forty-six years. 

DATE: Saturday, 26 June 2021

A hybrid event, with the option of presenters and attendees participate virtually via ZOOM or meeting at a metropolitan or regional hub (with the option to switch between face to face and virtual participation prior to the event).  Numbers will be limited at hubs so early registration is highly recommended. 

TIME: 8:20am – 4:30pm
(Wine & Cheese at selected hubs or BYO if online 4:30 – 5:30)

REFUND HUB ATTENDANCE FEE:
We will refund all hub attendance fees if the venue is cancelled or if attendees change their mind and wish to participate via ZOOM up to a week prior to the Conference. Regardless of where or how you participate, you may select any of the workshops during registration. All sessions will be ZOOM viewed at hubs if presenter is not there in person.

HYBRID EVENT:
For the first time, the conference will be held as a hybrid event, online with viewing hubs in Mackay, Cairns, Gladstone, Hervey Bay and Brisbane. Hubs allow attendees to come together for meals and networking. 

Whilst some presenters will present online via ZOOM, many will present from the Brisbane Hub site. We are aiming for at least one presenter to be in attendance at each regional hub. 

ZOOM OR IN PERSON ATTENDANCE:
Due to COVID19, the availability of Hubs, and the method of presenting (ZOOM or in person), will be subject to change without notice We will keep attendees and presenters, updated if our plans are forced to change.

ALL HUB ATTENDEES MUST CHECK IN ON ARRIVAL AS PER COVID19 REQUIREMENTS AT THEIR SELETED VENUE.

If you are unwell or become unwell at any time, please do not attend this year’s event in person and follow the relevant advice from the Queensland and Federal Governments. Our hybrid event means you can access all presentations, via ZOOM, if you cannot attend in person. Your additional site attendance fee will be refunded in full.

Your values hold the secret to respectful boundaries: come learn how to set boundaries, hold them and when you, in exceptional circumstances, break them without being taken advantage of. This will be an insightful, funny and powerful session.
