Effectively planning supported transitions everyone’s business with Leanne Unie Day and Rebecca Minter

Age range taught: 3.5yrs – 4.5yrs

Be challenged to consider supported transitions for children and families with complex needs. Who are the key players, how we can ensure child and family voice is heard, what strategies are needed so individual needs are met? Join us for an interactive workshop to explore the data and barriers and share in a collective conversation about what it takes to ensure every child has a successful positive transition to school in order to develop strong learning dispositions and strong ongoing connections.

Presenters:
Rebecca MINTER. Rebecca has 27 years’ experience focused on quality early education and care service provision throughout various roles of teacher, leader, consultant and most recently working with Department of Education Queensland in delivering the Connect 4 Children Strategy. Rebecca is passionate about effective pedagogy and practice, focused on inclusive leadership and collaboration with families and community to support the learning and well-being outcomes for young children.

Leanne Unie Day’s experience across Queensland and New South Wales has been primarily with the early years including supporting children with a disability or developmental delay and their families. She is passionate about supporting inclusion, child and family centred practice, and building and empowering capacity using a strength-based focus. Leanne currently works as a Partnership Facilitator with the Department of Education.

ECTA ZOOM is Australian based. All EQ staff are able to log in with work email from school sites
