Attachment Theory for Educators with Fiona Meredith

Fiona’s presentation initially covers attachment theory, trauma theory and brain development and concludes her presentation with practical strategies for educators in the classroom and school environment. This presentation provides many opportunities to hear about ways of working with young people who have experienced disrupted attachment and trauma. The message of hope, safety, and recovery within the relationships we develop with these young people is a strong focus.

About Fiona: For the first decade of her working career, Fiona was a midwife and a paediatric nurse. For the next two decades, Fiona has worked within the Child and Youth Mental Health Service, specifically at Evolve Therapeutic Services and currently is the CYMHS Ed-LinQ Coordinator for Hervey Bay/Maryborough.
