KEYNOTE CONFIRMED: MANAGE UP: Amplify your Voice, Visibility and Value with Sally Foley-Lewis
Gold Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Services https://www.sallyfoleylewis.com/

Many people struggle with knowing what to say, how to say it, and when to say what’s in their hearts and minds when it comes to managing up to more senior leaders and teachers, parents and stakeholders, committees, board members and funding decision makers. Do you ever hold off waiting for that right moment to ask, only to find the opportunity has already flown by?
Are you a people pleaser thinking it will lay the path for better opportunities, that are all too slow to come? Do any of these resonate with you:
– I wish I had spoken up in that meeting!
– I don’t know how to talk to my boss.
– I wish I could say no but I’m not game to.
Managing up starts with managing you. When you have the structure and skills, managing up is simpler, smoother, and leads to more success. Managing up starts with amplifying your value, voice, and visibility. The alignment of your voice, visibility and value is you being seen and known as credible, reputable and knowledgeable. In a world where it is far too easy to compare our inner self to the polished version of others it can be easy to fall into feeling invisible and insufficient. With long days and caring for so many, we easily put ourselves last. Learning how to amplify your voice, visibility and value means, for a start, is learning how to be seen at the right time by the right people; having the confidence to speak up; and identifying, respecting and holding boundaries.
In this session, you will learn how to manage up by firstly amplifying your value, voice, and visibility. You’ll explore what it means to speak up with authority and credibility. Build on your self- and social-awareness so you are visible for all the right reasons: no more silent wall flower for you! Tap into strategies for identifying your values and how they can help you be a reputable and knowledgeable contributor to your organisation. Your values hold the secret to respectful boundaries: come learn how to set boundaries, hold them and when you, in exceptional circumstances, break them without being taken advantage of. This will be an insightful, funny and powerful session.

TESTIMONIALS:
Sally delivers her sessions with energy, humour, well-founded experience and memorable anecdotes. I walked away feeling energised, and ready to take on my new role with a plan and enthusiasm.
Jennifer Torrance

Sally was a popular speaker and a vital element of the forum. Her energy and enthusiasm for her subject is infectious, her delivery I would describe as electric as she buzzes across the stage.

One delegate described her in the feedback as as simply “Brilliant.” I highly recommend Sally as a coach and speaker.
Clare Mansbridge
